The programme got off to a fast start with 35 people downloading the app in the first hour and a successful referral and hire being a Software Engineer, which can be a particularly difficult role to fill.
Over the 12-week pilot period 30% of employees downloaded the app, Zuto received 67 applications and made 35 hires. Sarah Brooks-Pearce, Head of Talent says: “The team at Zuto have embraced the digital concept of referrals, there’s a real enjoyment of sharing vacancies online and being part of the leader board. We’ve found that hearing about roles from connections or friends has a greater impact on candidates rather than being contacted directly by the Talent team or an agency. Using WOO we reach a wider untapped audience and leverage networks that we wouldn’t have been able to using our previous referral method.”
